AmCoastal Insurance Company
American Coastal Insurance Company (“AmCoastal”) was founded in 2007 with the initial purpose of insuring Condominium and Homeowner Association properties in the state of Florida and has more recently expanded its portfolio to include apartment properties. We do this through two exclusive partnerships:
AmRisc Group – one of the largest Managing General Agents in the country, specializing in hurricane-exposed properties, and
Skyway Underwriters – A newly-formed Managing General Agent specializing in bringing solutions to catastrophe-exposed areas.
Catastrophe exposure management is critical to companies writing hurricane-exposed properties. AmCoastal’s reinsurance protection is two times the Florida minimum requirements. We have designed the catastrophe reinsurance protection to meet or exceed the standard protection levels for AM Best “A” rated carriers, and plan to maintain this approach in the future. Catastrophe reinsurance is provided by a commercial placement with all “A-” or better rated or fully collateralized reinsurers and the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund.
